Clinton P. Harris - Founder & Managing Partner

Expertise globally across private equity, particularly buyouts, growth equity and venture capital

Pioneering leader in establishing best practices to align the interests of managers of funds-of-funds programs and institutional investors

25 years in private equity, including 14 years as Managing Director of Advent International, one of the largest and most successful global private equity firms

To be successful, Grove Street must be both a great service organization, and a great investment firm

Clint co-founded GSA in 1998 and serves as Managing Partner and a member of GSA’s Investment Committee.  Beyond his roles in the management of Grove Street, he shares a leadership role with seven of GSA’s clients.  Clint leads investments across all sectors but with a particular focus on mid-size U.S. buyouts, growth equity, technology venture capital and working with emerging managers.  Clint also leads GSA’s investments in Israel and is an active member of GSA’s fund investment team in China.

Prior to GSA, Clint was a co-founder and Managing Director of Advent International. During his 14 years with the firm, Advent grew to become one of the world's largest and most successful private equity firms operating both in the U.S. and internationally.  He served on Advent's investment committee which was responsible for more than 250 transactions.  He also designed and raised more than $800 million in capital for a broad range of dedicated investment programs for both corporate and institutional investors.  Prior to Advent, Clint was a management consultant and Partner with Bain & Company for seven years, where he helped establish Bain's Japanese practice and opened Bain's first office in Germany, and served as a naval officer on nuclear submarines for five years.
